FAQ HORSEBACK RIDING ENSENADA
What is Minimum Age? 5 years old minimum to ride. At 5 they can ride if their parents allow. Kids under 5 and younger can share a horse with adults, and receive a discount.
Kids love the Echo Canyon route and there is a convenient ride lesson and mountain platform for their safety.
Do you have a mountain ride option? Yes, at another location - Las Canadas, a ride through the hills, with an outlook point with canon echo. And is 60-75 min route with a mounted guide, and return route is different than beginning.
Pricing is same currently.

I am an experienced rider - is this good for me?
Yes, and you will likely enjoy the quality of the horse care and ride of our Mountain Ride at Las Canadas. Same price and a 15-minute longer ride. Request this when you book in notes or ask for a combo quote.
Can this be combined with Blowhole Tour? Yes! Both Mountain and Beach rides can be combined. And we handle all the driving! Here
Can we see La Bufadora? No, it is on the other side of the peninsula and mountains.
Are horses safe?
Yes, trail horses are very trained to follow the horse in front. No riding experience is needed. Mountain ride features a longer new rider instruction.
Is this safe for kids?
Yes, horses are very tame. Most kids prefer the mountain ride and Echo Canyon at Las Canadas. The guides are more like cowboys and the echo is fun.
What are the most popular Combos?
With horseback riding on ocean, La Bufadora is near and popular activity. Zipline and Horseback Mountain riding is popular and, for couples connection, horseback and 90 min massage;)
For a full day, the Horseback- ATV- Zipline at Las Canadas is a thrill and reduces transportation time.
If I have several activities, can some in my group sit out this activity?
Yes, with a private excursion, some can ride along, sit out the horse ride, and get a discount.
What to wear for Horseback Riding?
If you’ve never ridden before, horseback riding can feel like a bit of a daunting challenge! It’s important to feel relaxed and comfortable when riding to have an enjoyable experience, for both you and your horse friend!
Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. Long sleeve shirt, and comfortable pants are best, not required.
Don’t wear flip-flops, skirts or dresses.
Do I need to riding experience? No, just a willingness to learn and stay calm;) We provide a safety briefing and a guide will walk with the horses if you request.
I am an experienced rider, is there an option north of Ensenada to avoid traffic and have a more intimate ride?
Yes, for experienced riders we partner with a ranch north of town. Pricing is $96 each for 4-7. Request this in a custom quote.
Do you work with Local Horse Rescues?
Yes, in fall of 2023 All the Pretty Horses of Baja is our quarterly giveback for massage and excursion teams.
Is there a maximum weight? Horses can safely carry up to 250lbs rider.
How do I reserve? For the single tour, just $40 online refundable deposit above. For combo, book any single tour you want and check the box for when you are booking and we will email confirm the total price, or request a combo quote. Free deposit refund of course 36 hours before!
Can you handle groups of 8-25? Yes, we can take you in one vehicle or split you into two vehicles for flexibility.

We did the package of three (Horseback riding, ATV riding, Zip lining) with Emilio as our personal tour guide. He was so accommodating and knew so much about the sites and activities. He made our experience so much better because he was funny and very helpful always asking if we needed anything and would go out of his way if we asked. Tony was the best tour guide, he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. He made sure we were safe and enjoyed ourselves. We went ATVing, horseback riding, and a visit to a Blowhole flea market. There were other activities as well but we started late so we missed out but I will be back. Check this out, you won't regret it.

This excursion was the highlight of our trip! The guide was courteous, friendly and prompt. The horseback riding on the beach was amazing! It’s a beautiful, quiet, private beach the guide was helpful and polite. Their recommendation for tacos was an amazing spot! Best tacos I’ve ever had. 100% would do this again!
