Fast Pass Options, Sentri GloBal Entry

The worst part of San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe is coming back with border wait.

For northbound reentry into the U.S., we offer FastPass to our San Diego Bound private transportation guests. This goes in the ‘Ambulance Lane’ and practically saves about 60 minutes of wait time in the border.

Fast pass program recently changed from cost per vehicle to per passenger ranging from 35 to 15 usd each depending on vehicle size and availability. Approximately 74 for 1-3 and 15 each there.

FastPas availability varies with the holidays and changes in government program which include computer system problems. Our team can usually secure a pass with 72 hour notice. So mention in your baja transport quote or San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe Deposit.

Do we need a vehicle inspection for FastPass?

No, you don’t need special vehicle inspection. You will go through the regular line and inspection, but the FastPass or Hostipal Lane jumps to the front of others without the fastpass. Same security, you just skip near front of line.

Do we need to get out of the vehicle?

Not usually, only in the chance of secondary inspection, about 5% of trips.

However, the Large 52 passenger bus does require passengers to get out each time for inspection. Just incase you have too many tacos under your seat;)

Does Sentri work with our Private transportation to San Diego?

No, Sentri requires each passenger as well as vehicle registration. Our vehicles are all up to code with Mexico and insured, but have not been registered with the Sentri process.

Can I use Global Entry with our Valle to San Diego trip?

No. Our vehicles are not registered. Best option is the FastPass.

Jesse in Ensenada

I moved to Ensenada 15 years ago in 2011 in search of a simpler, healthier life after burnout, heartbreak, and cancer—and ended up building a life and business here that I truly love.

I started Ensenada Massage to create a space for relaxation and wellness, which later expanded into Valle Mobile Spa, serving travelers across Valle de Guadalupe and the Baja coast.

After experiencing cruise travel firsthand, I saw how limited and crowded shore excursions could be. That led to the creation of Ensenada Excursions & Tours, focused on private, flexible experiences and reliable transportation—so guests can enjoy Ensenada safely, comfortably, and on their own terms.

Today, our team also provides private transportation throughout Baja, including pickups from San Diego and Tijuana through Baja Tours & Transport, helping travelers explore the region with ease.

I split my time between Ensenada and San Diego, usually near the ocean, and still spend as much time as I can exploring Baja by road.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me swimming, playing harmonica, attempting capoeira, or listening to audiobooks on health, mindset, and personal growth.

If you have questions about Ensenada, your cruise stop, or planning the perfect day here—feel free to reach out.
